Faith Formation 6th-8th grades:

In the summer of 2009, after meeting with All Saints catechists, the Council for Catechesis determined that All Saints will move forward with establishing the 3rd and final level of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This transition process will be implemented between 2010 and 2011-2012, adding one grade level each year. In 2010, due to low registrations for 5th graders, parents chose the option of registering their 5th graders in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.  The transition will be complete in 2011-2012 when each 3 year old-6th grader participates in CGS.

Our textbook classes are currently using the Our Sunday Visitor Curriculum Division text called Call to Faith, while our 8th grade Confirmation class is also using a Confirmation text called Called to Celebrate.

These children have monthly opportunities to frequent the Sacrament of Reconciliation during class time, as well as to become more involved as cantors, as well as in percussion and choir. Over the course of the year, children and families participate in the Procession of Saints on our parish feast day, November 1st, a yearly Christmas program in December, as well as caroling opportunities, a parish Mardi Gras party, and retreats and youth group activities such as the exciting role playing game called AD 64 Romans and Christians.
